The three-day Smarter E Europe 2024 has just concluded successfully in Munich, Germany. As the leading exhibition alliance in the European energy industry, the Smarter E Europe 2024 opened on the 19th through four independent exhibitions – Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe, showing how to achieve 24/7 renewable energy supply. Intersolar Europe 2024: Double growth in quantity and quality
According to REN21′s “2024 Global Status Report”, last year’s new photovoltaic installed capacity reached 407 GW, an increase of about 34% over last year, bringing the global cumulative installed capacity to nearly 2 terawatts. Photovoltaics is not only growing rapidly in quantity, but also constantly improving in quality. As the world’s leading solar industry exhibition, Intersolar Europe demonstrates the great vitality of the solar industry. The focus of the Intersolar Forum 2024 is on large-scale and hybrid power plants as well as photovoltaic power plants floating on water bodies. The combination of photovoltaics and agriculture is also a hot topic.
ees Europe 2024: The decade of battery energy storage
Energy storage systems are booming. By 2050, the capacity of grid-connected energy storage systems in Germany will reach 60 GW/271 GWh, a forty-fold increase over current capacity.
The total area of this ees exhibition is about 47,000 square meters, with more than 760 exhibitors displaying products and solutions – from commercial and residential energy storage systems to mobile energy storage systems and artificial intelligence technologies for battery systems. A total of 1,090 energy storage solution providers participated in the European Smart Energy Exhibition. Green hydrogen innovations and gas conversion applications were also unveiled at the ees exhibition.
