What you should know about the production steps of wood grain aluminium profiles

Transfer of the wood grain is a process that transfers the wood grain pattern to the surface of the aluminium profile. The special printing technology and thermal transfer process perfectly transfer the wood grain pattern to the aluminium profile. The result is an aluminium window that is highly durable, very attractive in appearance and offers a beautiful wood pattern.

First of all, we need to make it clear that wood grain thermal transfer is actually a type of spraying process, but it is based on spraying and adds the operation of transferring wood grain paper to the surface of the profile.

So the initial steps are also consistent with the surface spraying of the profile:

1. Aluminum profile preparation: Select suitable aluminum profiles as the base material, and cut and process them according to requirements to ensure that the size and shape meet the requirements.

2. Surface treatment: Clean and treat the surface of the aluminum profile to ensure that the surface is smooth, free of oil and impurities, and provide good adhesion.

3. Coating treatment: Apply a layer of special transfer coating on the surface of the aluminum profile. The coating has adhesion and wear resistance and provides the basis for the transfer of wood-grain patterns. The base color of our coating needs to be as close as possible to the color of the wood grain paper, so that the surface of the wood grain will not be visible when it is scratched, maintaining the beauty of the surface.

4.Wood grain pattern printing: Print the pre-designed wood grain pattern on special transfer paper to ensure the clarity and colour reproduction of the pattern. This process includes paper cutting, paper wrapping, high-temperature vacuum bagging.The following is the flow chart of the wood grain workshop of our Ruiqifeng factory. Thanks to our employees strictly following this form to perform each step, our quality control is very good and the defective rate is very low, less than 2%.

5. Heat transfer: Bond the transfer paper with the wood-grain pattern to the coated surface of the aluminium profile and transfer the wood-grain pattern to the aluminium profile through heat pressing. This process includes machine loading, vacuuming, and heating in the thermal transfer furnace.

6. Cooling and curing: After the transfer is completed, cool the aluminium profile to solidify the wood-grain pattern on the surface and ensure lasting durability. Then tear off the wood grain paper on the surface of the profile

7. Inspection and packaging: Conduct quality inspection on the transfer wood-grain aluminum profiles to ensure the quality and integrity of the wood-grain patterns. Then, package the products for transportation and use.
