Why Choose Anodizing As The Surface Treatment Method For The Solar Frame?
We know that there are many surface treatment methods for aluminum alloy profiles, but most of the solar panels use anodizing as the surface treatment method. Why is this? Let’s first understand the advantages of anodizing:
1. Improve corrosion resistance
After anodic oxidation treatment, the surface of the aluminum alloy can obtain a layer of dense film much thicker than the natural oxide film, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the solar frame surface. Although other surface treatment methods can also play a role in corrosion resistance, they are generally not as good as anodizing. And the oxide film thickness can be increased as needed.
2. Improve wear resistance
The oxide film is transparent and very hard, so it has high wear resistance.
3. The insulation performance relatively good
Because the oxide film is non-conductive, it has excellent insulation performance
4. Strong adsorption
There are many dense pores on the oxide film, and the adsorption property is very good. Adding some metal salts before sealing the oxide film can achieve a very firm coloring effect and is not easy to change color. And some solar frames need to be colored.
5. Protect alloy matrix
Compared with electroplating and spraying, anodizing has a more natural metallic luster, and more importantly, the oxide film can effectively resist ultraviolet rays and protect the aluminum alloy substrate. This is a very big advantage for solar panels. Photovoltaic power stations are usually built in open outdoor areas with harsh environments.
